Active matrix OLED differs from a passive matrix in one decisive way: every pixel owns a thin film transistor that stores its drive current for the whole frame. That is what allows a 0.95 inch panel to carry 120x240 pixels at a 0.09 mm pitch without the crosstalk and dimming a passive matrix would show. Each sub pixel is an organic emitter producing red, green or blue directly, so there is no backlight, no colour filter and no liquid crystal valve; a black pixel is a pixel that is not driven. Because the emitters are deposited on the same glass as the transistor array, a capacitive touch layer bonds directly on top, giving a 41.84 x 16.7 mm module with touch sensing and no air gap. Up and down view angles exceed 88 degrees, which is why the image holds when the display is bonded into a curved wrist case.

This size belongs to devices worn or carried. Smart bands show time and a heart rate; watch display pods show notifications; wearable medical monitors show a reading plus a compliance mark; AR glasses temples show a status strip; compact handheld gadgets show a menu with touch. In each case the display is small, close to the eye, and expected to respond to a fingertip rather than a button.

Four properties define the value. The 0.09 mm pitch keeps small type crisp on a 0.95 inch diagonal, so a menu label stays readable instead of collapsing into an icon. Bonded touch removes a sensor film and its air gap, which improves clarity and reduces stack height. Self-emission means no backlight and no light leakage around the edges, so a dark interface looks black rather than grey. And near-88 degree viewing both ways holds the image as the wrist or hand rotates, where a TN cell would invert.

The module renders colour UI, watch faces, notifications and short animation, reports touch coordinates through the same flex, refreshes over SPI at a host-controlled rate, and supports brightness ramping so an always-on layout can dim rather than blank. Partial window updates let a clock second hand or a step count change without repainting the background.

Connect the 24 pin FPC, apply the supply rails in the sequence defined for the panel, send the initialization table, then stream frames over SPI into the display window. Because touch is bonded, recalibrate the baseline after assembly: housing pressure and adhesive thickness shift the capacitance and an uncalibrated panel reports phantom taps near the bezel.

OLED ageing is cumulative and brightness dependent, so a persistent white element at full output will leave a ghost. Use dark themes, shift the layout periodically, and avoid a static logo in always-on mode. Keep the FPC unbent at the stiffener inside a small case, respect the -20 to +70 C working range, and protect the glass edge, which is the weakest point during assembly and drop testing.

Shipments leave within 5-10 working days after payment. Prototypes go by express so case tooling keeps its schedule, production by air or sea, with about 100,000 pieces a month available for a wearable program.

T/T, L/C at sight and Western Union are accepted; samples are prepaid and production orders follow a deposit plus balance against documents.

Modules ship in anti-static trays with protective film, foam cushioning and a moisture barrier bag inside a small export carton suited to a watch assembly station.
