A small electrophoretic label built on bistable pigment chemistry. Microcapsules in the film hold a clear fluid with positively charged white pigment and negatively charged black pigment; in the colour builds, red and yellow pigments sit in additional layers, and the drive waveform raises the required colour to the surface. When the field is removed the particles stop where they are, so the image is held mechanically and the tag draws no current between updates. Because the surface is reflective, the label reads by store or office lighting with no backlight and no glare. This 1.54 inch module puts a 200x200 matrix on a 27 x 27 mm active area with a 0.14 mm pixel pitch, driven by the SSD1681 over 4-SPI through a 24 pin 0.5 mm FPC, with a dual supply of VDD 1.8 V and VCI 3 V.

Shelf edge labels show a price and a barcode. Name badges show a visitor name and a company. Key cabinet tags show a slot number. Sample bottle markers show a batch code. Tool crib bins show a part number. Event badge holders show a name and a QR block. Each carries a short line of text read at half a metre and updated on a cycle of days or weeks, not per transaction.
4. AdvantagesThe value in a program is the 27 mm square footprint: it drops into existing 1.54 inch clips without a housing redesign, and the 0.98 mm profile clears shallow rails. The dual supply lets a 1.8 V host talk to the panel while the driver runs from 3 V, which matters in a coin cell tag where the radio and the display compete for the same budget. Three colour builds on one drawing mean fewer part numbers to qualify, and the 200x200 grid resolves a barcode plus a readable price without crowding.
5. FunctionsThe driver renders 200x200 text and barcodes, accepts 4-SPI image data, refreshes fully when a layout changes and partially when only a price moves, and sleeps at microamp level between writes. Partial refresh is what makes a radio triggered price change cheap: the barcode region is not repainted, so the tag stays visually stable during a small edit.
6. User ManualBring-up is short: connect the 24 pin FPC, apply VDD 1.8 V and VCI 3 V, load the SSD1681 initialization table, write the frame buffer, then run a full refresh. Use partial refresh for price-only changes, and always follow a battery swap with a full refresh, since a partial frame written onto a settled baseline leaves a visible seam.
7. PrecautionsOperate from 0 to +50 C only, and avoid condensation when a cold carton is opened in a warm stockroom. Do not crease the FPC near the stiffener, keep the film clear of point pressure from clip springs, and never hot-plug the connector on a powered board. A tag showing a faded band usually needs a full refresh, not a new cell.
8. ShippingDispatch takes 5-10 working days after payment. Pilot quantities go by tracked express, chain volumes by air or sea freight, and the 100,000 piece monthly capacity keeps replenishment cycles short.
9. Payment TermsT/T, L/C at sight and Western Union are accepted; samples are prepaid, and production orders run on a deposit plus balance against documents.
10. PackagingLabels travel with protective film in anti-static trays, cushioned by bubble wrap in a moisture barrier bag and an export carton, with tray counts printed on the packing list.
11. Purchase, Return and After-SalesOrders start at 10 pieces. Units damaged on arrival are replaced after photo evidence, a 12 month warranty covers defects, and we help with initialization code and colour build selection.
