This module combines a display and a touch sensor under one cover glass. The display is a transmissive TFT: cells gated by thin film transistors, held by storage capacitors, lit by four white LEDs and filtered into red, green and blue; the IPS layout keeps the image true across a full cone. The touch layer is projected capacitive, transparent electrodes forming a capacitance to ground at every crossing; a finger steals charge from the nearest nodes and the controller reports the interpolated position. The sensor is bonded with optical adhesive, so no air gap scatters light, which is why a bonded panel looks clearer than a frame-mounted overlay. The ST7789P3 drives the image over 4-SPI, the touch controller reports over I2C, and the stack is 2.03 mm thick.

Smart home wall panels show a mode tile that is tapped. Handheld instruments show a fingertip menu. Portable monitors show a reading and a large acknowledge area. Industrial HMI terminals show start and stop zones. Access readers show a keypad. Vending controllers show a product grid. Each input is a tap on glass, where a keypad would add thickness, a gasket and a wear item.
4. AdvantagesBonded touch is the first advantage: no air gap, so contrast matches a single glass and no separate overlay is needed. Second, touch and display share one 13 pin connection, simplifying the harness. Third, 500 nits with four LEDs keeps the screen usable by a window or under shop lighting. And a capacitive sensor has no moving parts, no membrane to crack, no cut-out letting dust in.
5. FunctionsThe module shows tiles, sliders and 65K colour images, takes 4-SPI display data and I2C touch reports, reports coordinates with interrupt signalling so the host sleeps until a finger arrives, and allows windowed updates. A host therefore wakes on touch, redraws only the pressed control and sleeps again.
6. User ManualBring-up: power the 3.3 V rail, reset both the display and the touch controller, load the ST7789P3 table for 170x320, initialize the I2C touch sensor and read its baseline, then enable the backlight. Calibrate after the cover or the housing is fitted, not before, because the plastic and the finger gap shift the baseline capacitance. If the display works but touch does not, check the I2C address and the interrupt line before replacing the module.
7. PrecautionsBonded glass is fragile at the edge: support the module by the rigid area, never lift it by the FPC, and avoid point pressure on the cover because the adhesive layer transfers the load straight into the cell. Keep within -20 to +70 C, do not expose the panel to solvent, and be careful with static on the touch electrodes. A phantom touch after assembly usually means a grounded bezel or a trapped air bubble, not a sensor fault.
8. ShippingShipment takes 5-10 working days after payment. Samples go by express so a housing can be trialled, volume by air or sea, and capacity of about 100,000 pieces per month covers panel and handheld programs.
9. Payment TermsT/T, L/C at sight and Western Union are accepted. Sample orders are prepaid; production follows a deposit plus balance against documents.
10. PackagingEach module ships with a protective film on the cover glass, in anti-static trays with foam seats, sealed in a moisture barrier bag inside an export carton marked per model.
11. Purchase, Return and After-SalesMinimum order is 10 pieces. Impact damage or first power-up failure is replaced after photo verification, a 12 month warranty covers defects, and our engineers help with touch baseline tuning and the initialization sequence.
