This is the smallest square in the range, and the smallest one that still resolves a real interface. A 128x128 array on a 15.2064 x 15.2064 mm active area with a 0.1188 mm pitch gives about 150 pixels per inch, enough for four rows of text or a simple dial. The panel is a transmissive TFT: liquid crystal cells between polarisers, a transistor and a storage capacitor per pixel, a white LED backlight behind a light guide and an RGB filter on top. The IPS electrode arrangement puts both terminals on one substrate, so the crystal rotates in plane and the small image keeps its colour at the angles a wearable is actually viewed from. The GC9107 controller integrates the drive and the frame memory in a compact die, which keeps the 12 pin interface and the 1.5 mm profile small enough for a bezel-less product.

Smart rings show a step goal and a battery state. Earbud charging cases show a level per bud. Smart locks show a keypad or an unlock icon. Wearable beacons show a name and a battery. Miniature thermometers show a reading. Toy and collector items show an animation frame. In each the display is a badge rather than a screen: a small symmetrical face read at 20 cm, where a square crops nothing inside a square aperture.
4. AdvantagesThe footprint is the argument: 17.58 x 20.82 mm with a 1.5 mm body fits inside a case lid or a ring charger where nothing larger will enter. Symmetry means a square aperture needs no masking and no orientation arrow. The dual connection, solder or 0.5 mm FPC, lets one part serve a hand-built prototype and a sealed volume product. And 330 nits from a single LED is bright enough for indoor glance use while keeping a coin cell viable.
5. FunctionsThe module shows icons, short text, progress rings and 65K colour frames, accepts 4-SPI writes, supports a windowed update so a battery icon can change alone, and dims or blanks through the backlight pin. Because the frame is only 128x128, a host can keep the whole image in a small buffer and update a region without any external memory.
6. User ManualInitialize by applying 3.3 V, releasing reset, loading the GC9107 table for 128x128, setting the address window, streaming RGB565 data, then enabling the backlight. The GC9107 is not pin or command compatible with the ST77xx family, so confirm both before committing firmware; a wrong table typically shows as a rolled or split image rather than a blank one.
7. PrecautionsHandle by the rigid edges, not the FPC, and avoid pressure on the glass when pressing the module into a case lid, since a 15 mm cell is easily pinched. Keep within -20 to +70 C, keep moisture out of a sealed product, and do not exceed 3.6 V. A display that dims after a drop usually has a cracked light guide rather than a failed driver.
8. ShippingOrders ship within 5-10 working days after payment. Prototypes travel by express, production by air or sea, and monthly capacity near 100,000 pieces supports wearable and accessory programs.
9. Payment TermsT/T, L/C at sight and Western Union are accepted. Samples are prepaid and production runs on a deposit plus balance against shipping documents.
10. PackagingModules ship with protective film in anti-static trays with foam seats, sealed in a moisture barrier bag in an export carton marked with model and quantity.
11. Purchase, Return and After-SalesMinimum order is 10 pieces. Arrival damage is replaced after photo verification, a 12 month warranty covers manufacturing defects, and our engineers provide the GC9107 initialization table and connection drawings.
