In a handheld the display is also the structure: it survives the drop, sets the thickness and often carries the only interface. This 1.9 inch module is built for that role, a 170x320 IPS TFT bonded to a projected capacitive sensor in a 2.03 mm stack with no air gap. It is a transmissive TFT, each pixel a cell switched by a transistor and held by a capacitor, lit by four white LEDs and coloured by an RGB filter. IPS keeps the crystal turning in plane, so the image stays readable when a device is held at an angle or passed between two people. The touch layer senses the charge a finger removes from electrodes at each crossing, and the controller interpolates a position from the affected nodes and reports it over I2C while the ST7789P3 drives the image over 4-SPI.

Portable monitors show a reading and an acknowledge zone. Handheld instruments show a menu and a live value. Field terminals show a form and a signature box. Navigation units show a route line. Each is carried outdoors and needs a touch surface that collects no dust.
4. AdvantagesThe bonded stack comes first: no overlay means no dust behind the glass and no double reflection in sunlight. Second, wake-on-touch lets a handheld sleep between readings and come up in under a second. Third, 500 nits with IPS reads better on a bright day than a 350 nit TN panel. And one 13 pin connection carries display and touch, shrinking the harness that must survive a drop.
5. FunctionsThe module shows values, forms, menus and 65K colour graphics, accepts 4-SPI display writes and I2C touch input, reports multi-touch with an interrupt so the host can sleep, and supports windowed refresh for a changing measurement. A host can therefore keep the backlight dim between uses and only wake the panel when a finger or a measurement event arrives, which is what makes a full colour touch display viable on a handheld cell.
6. User ManualBring-up: apply 3.3 V, reset display and touch, load the ST7789P3 table for 170x320, read the touch baseline with the unit in its enclosure, then enable the backlight. Repeat the baseline capture after any change of front cover, because the plastic thickness and the user's glove both shift the reading and a stale baseline shows up as missed taps rather than wrong coordinates.
7. PrecautionsA handheld lives with shock: mount the module on a compliant gasket rather than clamping the glass, and never let the FPC carry the panel weight. Keep within -20 to +70 C, keep solvents away from the polariser edge, and guard against static when the unit is opened for service. A display that works cold but not warm, or the reverse, usually indicates a marginal supply rail rather than a panel fault.
8. ShippingOrders ship in 5-10 working days after payment, with express for prototypes and air or sea for series. Capacity near 100,000 pieces per month covers handheld programs.
9. Payment TermsT/T, L/C at sight and Western Union are accepted. Prototypes are prepaid and production runs on a deposit plus balance against documents.
10. PackagingPanels ship with a protective film, in anti-static trays with foam seats, sealed in a moisture barrier bag inside an export carton marked with model and quantity.
11. Purchase, Return and After-SalesMinimum order is 10 pieces. Units failing on arrival are replaced after photo verification, a 12 month warranty covers defects, and we support touch tuning, drop-test review and initialization.
